Cold & Hot Plunge

Cold plunge therapy involves immersing the body in cold water for a duration of 1-5 minutes.

Hot-cold contrast therapy involves alternating between hot and cold water immersion in a cycle. The cycle can be repeated several times and can last for 10-20 minutes, depending on preference.

These therapies work by the principle of vasoconstriction and vasodilation. Cold immersion results in vasoconstriction and decreases blood flow, while hot immersion promotes vasodilation and increases blood flow.

By alternating between the two temperatures, the body experiences fluctuations in blood flow, which results in a “pumping” effect that can help improve overall cardiovascular health.

Being immersed in cold water stimulates leukocytes, the white blood cells that help fight off sicknesses. It also causes the lymphatic system to contract, forcing fluid through the lymph nodes. This process aids in detoxing the body and strengthening your immune system.

There are many ways to practice hot & cold contrast. We encourage you to experiment with the plunges to find your desired protocol!

Our Plunges are both equipped with powerful circulation filtration, ozone sanitation, and a 15 micron filter. The water is constantly being filtered and circulated, making it safe to enter the water after someone else.

Our cold plunge reaches as low as 39F and our hot plunge can reach as high as 104F

PowerPlate Vibration Platform

We offer the option to stand atop a PowerPlate which is a platform that gives the body’s muscles a high-speed workout by using vibrations to stimulate them to contract and relax. This can help warm the body and stimulate movement in the lymphatic system.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive technique that uses low-level wavelengths of light to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation and relieve pain. A typical session lasts about 10 minutes.

The red & near-infrared light penetrates deep into the skin, where it interacts with the mitochondria in the cells. This interaction triggers a series of chemical reactions that lead to the production of more ATP, which is the main source of energy for our cells. This increased energy production is believed to promote healing and regeneration, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain.

Red light therapy is used to treat a variety of conditions, including arthritis, joint pain, muscle pain, and skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles, and psoriasis. It is also used for wound healing and to promote the healing of surgical incisions.

The red light therapy benefits take place at the cellular level and have been proven in many studies. Red and near-infrared light are energy for your cells. Exposing your body to this light enhances your cells to function as they are designed to.

Where to Begin?

Book your treatment in the chill zone and enjoy all 4 healing modalities at once for a time-efficient session.

New to cold plunging? Here’s an optional protocol, suitable for beginners!

Begin with standing on the PowerPlate to warm up the body from the inside-out and wake up the muscles. (1-2 min)

Move to the hot plunge to allow the body to relax and soften. Practice deep, slow breathing, and become mindful of the heat building in the body. (3-5 min)

Once the body is warm, move to the cold plunge. The key is to remain calm and relaxed, this will train your body how to relax when in uncomfortable situations. (1-3 min)

Option to repeat the above 1-2 times. Ending on cold is recommended for more energy, ending on hot is recommended for more relaxation. You choose!

Slowly step out of the cold plunge, and stand or sit in front of the red light, taking deep breaths and allowing the body to absorb the light. Expose as much skin to the light as possible and stand as close to the panel as possible.  (5-10min)

For your safety, please do not stay in either plunge for more than 7 minutes at a time.

The room is reserved for your for 30 minutes when you make an appointment.  Plenty of time to get changed, and enjoy all 4 healing modalities.

Sure! But please note session price is per-person.

Not only do we replace the water frequently, we also have powerful circulation filtration, ozone sanitation, and a 15 micron filter. The water is constantly being filtered and circulated, making it safe to enter the water after someone else.

Bathing suits are required as the room is equipped with security cameras for your safety. We do have a changing area so you can just bring your suit with you and be good to go!

Yes! Towels will be provided for you at the front desk when you check in for your appointment.

The cold plunge is 39F and the hot plunge is 104F! The ultimate contrast therapy.  Prepare to feel amazing!

The red light wall panel is there for you to use either before or after your plunge to aid in blood flow and cellular energy production.  It also feels amazing to sit in front of the light after a plunge, as the light is slightly warm and makes for an amazing meditation.  The panel has both red and NIR infrared light which both have amazing benefits and are the most healing sun rays. Although red light has not been shown to be harmful to the eyes, we do equip you with safety goggles.

The powerplate is a great start to your session and helps get the muscles warmed up and ready to plunge.  just 1-2 minutes can help loosen up the body, calm nerves, and get the blood pumping. Simply stand on the plate and feel the vibration, or do exercises like squats or stretches!

There are many schools of though on this, but if you are looking for more energy we recommend ending with cold if you can handle it!

Any amount of time is great!! There is benefit to even a quick dip, but benefits really start to peak at 2-5 minutes. We do not recommend plunging longer than 7 minutes in either tub.

Great question! It is actually best to cold plunge before a workout, or at least 4 hours later than a workout.  This is because after a workout the body increases inflammation to aid in muscle growth and repair, and cold too soon can disrupt this inflammatory cycle, leading to less muscle gains.  The best time is before a workout for a huge energy boost, or the day after a workout to aid in soreness.

The front desk will walk you back for your first session and answer any questions you may have. We also have call buttons on both tubs in case you need help.  Be careful getting in and out of the tubs, move slow as to not splash water, and please try to wipe up any puddles left before exiting the room. We appreciate you leaving the room how you found it!
